POSTCARD FROM THE OWL MOUNTAINS

Mateusz Birecki, better known as @BiruCycling, is a seasoned Long-Distance rider from Poland.

Like thousands of other riders, Mateusz should have been racing in "The Race Through Poland" while preparing himself for upcoming races later in the year - "Road Marathon Around Poland" and "Great Lakes Gravel".

However, as with everything else, events are now on hold, but his overall goal remains the same - to compete in Trans Continental Race 2022.

There is no sleeping on the laurels for Mateusz. Instead, he finds himself enjoying the surroundings of the nearby Owl Mountains from which he sent us this postcard.

"These "walls", or climbs with slopes exceeding 10%, do not have many followers. But I love them".

"On my way back to Tonowice, more groups of cyclists pass me by, who, like me, are hungry for the mountains. Some are hungry for climbs, others for landscapes. However, we all share a love for two wheels, which we respectively define in our own way".
